How we helped Liberty Aquarium Services build their email list and business using ads, lead magnets, & emails


Liberty Aquarium Services was founded by young entrepreneur Brendan Flynn. Growing up with a passion for fishkeeping and a distaste for traditional education, Brendan founded the company back in 2019. After many trial and errors (that still continue to this day), Brendan has worked alongside Wilson Media to grow his company far beyond his estimated trajectories!


When Wilson Media started working with Liberty Aquarium Services in June of 2021, the only marketing they had was a suboptimal Google Campaign. In the beginning, Brendan was uncertain as to whether Facebook Ads, and emails would prove effective. However, even though business was good by most people's standards, it did not meet his ambitions. Because of this, he was willing to try something new. Once we explained that we'd build a large email list, full of potential customers, for him to email anytime and anywhere, he was all in.

As a lead magnet, we created a fun quiz in order to capture emails and leads for Liberty Aquarium Services. The objective of the quiz was to entertain users as well as qualify them as a Liberty Aquarium Services prospect.

In order to attract prospects into the lead funnel, we promoted it using Facebook Ads. We created a simple, but eye-catching graphic, and targeted broadly to those in Liberty's serviceable area.

In order to complete the quiz, you had to enter your email address (which automatically synced with the CRM). Once finished, you were brought to one of 3 landing pages depending on the answers you gave

After a prospect completed the quiz, their contact information was automatically uploaded into Liberty's Mailchimp account and a Google Spreadsheet (for good measure)

Email Followup

1 hour after the quiz is complete, an email was sent out to the quiz taker that essentially stated the experience Liberty Aquarium Services has, and asked "how can we help?"

Within the first hour of launch, Liberty Aquarium Services had leads coming in. Averaging $0.92 cents a lead (not accounting for leads not calculated due to IOS 14) with some days as low as $0.67.

Approximately 7% of these email leads reached out to Liberty Aquarium Services requesting more information on the services they provide.

In addition to the leads they are currently generating, Liberty's email list is building daily. This allows them to send valuable tips and promotions straight to fish tank owners personal email inbox.
